- Activities requiring balance and/or coordination require great effort and are often met with reluctance
- Difficulties with reading and spelling
- Struggles with articulation (pronunciation) of words
- Letter reversals (b/d) and inversions (m/w)
- Word transposition (felt/left) and substitutions (house/home)
- Transposes number sequences
- Confuses arithmetic signs (+, -, x, /, =)
- Slow recall of facts (multiplication tables, poems, etc.)
- Difficulty solving arithmetic problems and grasping basic math concepts
- Doesn’t participate in recess or has difficulty with classes that are usually considered fun
